President Emmerson Mnangagwa has lauded the 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show as a clear indicator that Zimbabwe is moving in the right direction, citing the impressive range and standard of exhibitions on display in Harare.
Speaking after touring various stands at the Exhibition Park on Friday, the President said the growth and innovation showcased by exhibitors across agriculture, mining, manufacturing and small-to-medium enterprises pointed to a resilient economy.
The President noted that this year’s event had drawn a wider variety of participants than previous editions, with local farmers and businesses displaying improved techniques, value-added products and modern machinery.
He told journalists that the quality and diversity of what he had seen at the show confirmed the country remained on a positive development path.
Organisers of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show said this year’s edition attracted a record number of exhibitors, reflecting growing confidence in the agricultural sector and broader economy.
The show, which runs until Sunday, continues to serve as a platform for networking, investment promotion and the exchange of ideas among stakeholders in agriculture and industry.
