The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the host countries for three upcoming youth continental championships following its latest Executive Committee meeting.

Egypt will stage the 2027 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, which will also serve as the qualifying event for African teams aiming for the 2028 Olympic football tournament. Ghana has been selected to host the 2027 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, while Morocco will welcome the continent’s best under-17 sides in 2027.

In a separate decision, CAF confirmed that the 2026 CAF Super Cup will take place in Pretoria, South Africa, on 8 November 2026, with kick-off set for 15:00 local time. The match brings together the winners of Africa’s top two club competitions.

The continental body also indicated that discussions around a proposed African Nations League remain ongoing, with format and potential hosts still to be finalised. CAF reiterated its full backing for FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the global football leadership.

These announcements provide more clarity on Africa’s international football calendar, especially for youth competitions and club football.
