A David versus Goliath subplot is brewing in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League as an unfancied side known as the Jordan boys prepares to stare down two of the division’s most feared forwards.
Washington Navaya, the league’s leading goalscorer and 2025 Golden Boot winner, has joined forces with high-profile new arrival Prince Dube, and many observers expect the pair to terrorise defences. Yet the Jordan boys insist they are not perturbed by the reputations that precede the attacking duo.
Team insiders say the underdogs are drawing confidence from their recent organisation at the back and believe they can frustrate even the most dangerous strikers in the local game. The players have reportedly been focusing on closing down spaces and limiting supply to the front men.
With the PSL title race and individual scoring charts heating up, all eyes will be on whether the Jordan boys can pull off an upset or whether the Navaya-Dube partnership will prove too hot to handle.
